Kids these days are less prejudiced against the accordion than old-fogies from my generation or earlier. Generally they think its cool because its somewhat unusual.
Heres a few rockers.
Vancouver (Canada)s local punk-fun faves, The Plodes:

David Eugene Edwards brought out the chemnitzer concertina with 16 Horse Power and Wovenhand:
I love the Japanese band BU☆LI. Totally fun. Its very hard to find their music though if you dont read Japanese:

El Gran Silencio from Monterrey, Mexico is the best rock en Español band with accordion I know of:

Calle 13 is a reggaeton/hip-hop etc band from Puerto Rico. One of their guys plays 20+ instruments including accordion sometimes. Action packed.

Yes, Gogol Bordello.
I wish Iva Nova was as well known as Gogol Bordello so they would tour all the way from Russia to the west coast of Canada.

The Decemberists occasionally reach rock band energy levels, though Jenny Conlee then usually plays Hammond. They did have a #1 album with accordion, as has Kongos and Weird Al for the first time. When was the last time you could name three recent #1 Billboard accordion albums? This accordion thing must really be catching on. Well have to keep our eye on it.
Calexico from Tucson, Arizona are known to squeeze. http://www.casadecalexico.com
The Magnetic Fields have Daniel Handler dropping in on accordion:

Sigur Ros has used it too: http://www.sigur-ros.co.uk
It kind of goes on and on, with bands scattered around the globe using the instrument in different ways.
Theres been a number of huge international pop hits in the last couple of years with accordion riffs thrown in too. Most are dance or electronic compositions and not what I would call regular bands that have an accordion player. Still, cool.
We try to play a lot of these on the Accordion Noir radio show every week (plug; sorry about that).
