Hello! I'm a 26-year-old man interested in playing polka, so I recently acquired an accordion from a private seller, and there are a few things that need tweaking. The only accordion repair guy in my city is gone for 2 months, so I want to try to tackle as many of them myself as I can. I have a Fonarmony, I can't find a model or serial number anywhere, so that's unfortunately all I have to go off of.
The main issue is that there seems to be one note that's stuck somewhere in the accordion, because it always plays when I move the bellows, without pressing any keys. I'm not sure if it's on the bass side or the keyboard side, based on the timbre of the sound that plays; it's a higher note, so it's not one of the bass notes (first 2 rows of buttons), but might be one of the higher chord tones. The note is a Db, for what it's worth.
Where would I find the source of this issue? And, how would I fix it? I'm guessing that something is stuck open that should be closed. I took off the panel above the keyboard and the panel right under the bass strap, but haven't gone any further. I attached some pictures for reference (bass strap panel is intact in this picture).
Any guidance on where this issue could come from is highly appreciated!!
