Your F# problem won't be solved by a contact cleaning. There is a full contact pad under your buttons
that will require replacement.

the mechanicals of a V-Accordion are very different, there is little to
be damaged in transit

however, the bass button module itself is a relatively simple remove and replace if
you can get the part reasonable priced as a complete unit

the real problem is without a service manual there are all kinds
of "Gotchas"

the Air release button easily just falls out when you remove the bass plate
and amazingly all the screws are metal into raw plastic (no metal
embedded threads like you would find in even a $10 dollar piece
of electronics) so you have to be incredibly careful not to damage
the plastic

perhaps more to the point, the seller lied about "it's in great condition"
when he represented it to you, and you get your money back and
look for one that IS in good condition with no issues

ciao

PS: i have no idea how to find them, but the old Roland V-Accordion chat group
(yahoo groups) which Yahooo discontinued that ? ithink

well they had a few repair things published in their archives, one was
a fella who successfully took the bass button assembly of an FR3 apart
and repaired it including pictures

maybe someone knows how to get in touch with them or the old SYsop
who was in England

Thanks Jim, please excuse my ignorance but after owning acoustic accordions for 64 years it will take me some time to learn all the intricacies of the Roland! Thanks again for the help and prompt reply

Thanks Ventura for all this detailed information, clearly not as simple as I envisaged! Looks like a visit to the service centre is the best option. Thanks again for the helpful and quick reply.
