Been here for ages!
My previous two posts on this topic ended in disaster, so here goes, third time lucky!
I have a 1961 score of “The Old Spinning Wheel “ in “C” (4/4) time, key of C major, written in AAA Notation.
My problem is:
In the bass clef, in some measures (bars), the first note (ie the fundamental bass note) is simultaneously, side by side, written both as a crotchet and as a semibreeve (together).
What is this? Are they alternatives or what? How do I play it?
Any suggestions, please?
( I did try to include a copy of the actual score, but it didn’t work out for me.)
