Hi All:
I'm a fairly new accordion player, and a newcomer to the forum.
I am what you might call--a Senior Beginner again. Having played the accordion
many years ago, as a youngster, then an absence of 50 years.
I have been self teaching the piano accordion with the use of older Sedlon, and older
Palmer-Hughes lesson books.
I have been getting some useful tips from a couple friends that have been playing for many years,
and even tried taking a few lessons from professionals.
I'm having a great time, and really enjoy learning.
I find that the more I learn about music, and the more I learn about the accordion------the more there
"is" to learn, and soo much I don't understand.
The other experience that I endured, is buying an accordion. That is a very confusing process. Trying to sort
out the magnitude of accordion brand names, who make what, where they are made, price points, wow,
overwhelming to say the least. I made several mistakes along those lines. Buyer-Beware.
Well, enough about me.
I'm hoping make some new friends on the forum, and learn from the many experiences, and hopefully share some
knowledge I have .
Thanks for taking the time to listen to my rambling.
