Thanks Dingo. The salsa gig was during the day at a benefit concert. It's always nice to do a show where our kids can come. I was in a cover band right after college and I wouldn't start playing until 10 or 11 pm....sometimes getting home at 4 in the morning.

Sorry about the poor recording, but the spirit of it is still there!
The "Temperance Seven"?
Fun in '61!
A touch of British deadpan quirkyness?

A better recording :

Weird! Film produced in the sixties made to look old, with music played to look old. What will they think up next?

Tom,
As I already have intimated, a great example of the legendary (and loved) British "quirkiness " or "eccentricity "?

Dingo.... Im quite partial to a bit of swing exercise too.... ?
Yep... Beats jogging
damn man

that is awesome, good footwork

- the song is part of the Fallout 4 sound track, in the "Diamond City Radio" playlist. I've played that game probably 200 hours, and that stuff gets stuck in your head!

This could be nice for someone's repertoire??

Another rendition:?

One of my YouTube digs lead me to Natalia LaFourcade once. I admit she is sort of a mixed bag, but this song and especially how it's presented is just perfection.

I'm almost sure it can't be recorded 100% live in that setting, but they present it like it is done in that moment.

This is 100% done right and I can enjoy that very much. Maybe you can too:

Beautifully done. Somehow reminds me of Manhatten Transfer

Chet Baker..... Then when I'm exhausted more Chet Baker....
it was his signature sound that i first attempted to craft in my
MIDI Rack (Synth setup) and i used it as a favorite voice
for a long long time...

i covered his versions of "look for the silver lining" and "My funny Valentine"

ciao

Ventura

regarding the thread, i guess the last contemporary band for me, that
"floated to the top and caught my attention"
enough to buy their DVD's and cover two of their songs was
Evenescence

Amy's voice is the best Rocker Chick since Anne Wilson from Heart

oh, my frame of reference mentally being "girls who can go toe to toe
with Robert Plant and hold their own, for Ann and Amy

Stevie is in a class by herself, of course, and her songs lend themselves
quite nicely to Accordion interpretation

while i can play "Crazy on You" it is only for when i am alone in the Studio
but i can Gig on Rhiannon and Dreams, though Stop Draggin My Heart Around
is also only in my Studio

the songs i play are, for the most part, selected because i am a FAN
and by playing those songs i am honoring the original writers and artists

I took a break today and as I occasionally do, visit YouTube. My search was for what can be performed on what most consider
simplistic musical instruments. Being an accordionist I appreciate the sound produced from a free reed instrument.
These 3 guys are amazing on what they accomplish on free reed instruments --

I also found it amazing what this gent can get out of a 4 string Ukulele ---

Thanks for the clips, Jim!!?
A musette tuned harmonica: who knew?!??
Rhapsody in blue doesn't do much for me at the best of times, so the uke didn't damage it as far as I'm concerned ?. A tour de force, nevertheless ?

Don't forget "The Melodica Men" on You Tube. What they can achieve always amazes me.
Sorry, I don't know how to link to their sites:unsure:

Good! Blues harmonica in a very classic style, thanks, Dingo!
