Funny thing is now I've spent the day contemplating 'what' makes a piece sound soulful....
Is it an abundance of dominant chords, is it the odd slip into diminished territory, is it a minor chord played over a major third, or is it just the feel a player exudes....
Interesting... not that I'd like it to sound formulaic but interesting none the less...
Perhaps it comes down to a simple equation/recipe or perhaps it's a difficult as bottling love...
