Maidstone music festival has a competitive and non competetive sections for accordionists, melodeonist, and concertina players this year. It gives you a chance to get up on a stage and perform in front of an audience, with helpful (hopefully) feedback from an adjudicator. I guess if you take part in the competitive classes you may get a prize of some sort!
The adjudicator this year is Romanno Viazanni.
What interests me is that melodeon, concertinas and harmonicas are given a fair chance as well. Ive taken part in these things before and I felt on both occasions the adjudicator was a little dismissive of my wifes efforts on her diato. I suspect Mr Viazanni may have a more open mind!
