I'm sure this has been asked before.. but I can't find it.

And I haven't really looked that closely at the problem, yet - thought I'd be idle and ask here first, as responses may help someone else in the future.

I checked Accordion Revival to no avail, but if you know differently..?

So - it's just the one button F7 ... makes a noise like a quiet blown kiss..

Accordion is newish, which I don't play much but give it a regular workout to keep it in shape. I can't remember noticing it before but it's getting on my nerves now.

I'm pretty sure it's outside the mechanism, like the button rubbing the hole side?

Actually it could be my favourite accordion.

But it has a shiny cellulose bass board which your (my) hand sticks to if its slightly clammy so it was relegated for occasional use. I've put some 2" claripore dimpled semi transparent self adhesive tape on it and now it's fine avoiding tackiness... so must sort the squeak and job'll be a good 'un.

I like the tone better than the Guerrini Oxford my main squeeze which is a still bit too Scottish for my taste on some registers.

Looking closely at the problem is the best start: unfasten the belt, then remove the bottom plate. This lets you inspect where something is touching something causing the squeak, or at least where something looks a bit different on the F7 than other buttons. When everything is perfectly aligned there should be no squeak, without the need for any kind of lubricant.
