Hi Gordon - welcome from me too - but at 20 years my junior, you are a mere whippersnapper.
I took up the ‘box’ last year and only began music lessons earlier this one.
Great fun ( except for the poor souls who get to hear my efforts )

So you're the living definition of a gentleman..... a man who can play the accordion, but doesn't!

What I find is people want to hear one song. They are genuinely interested in your playing, but don't nessesarily "get" the accordion sound (unless their great uncle played old time polkas all day.) You have one chance to intrigue them, then leave them wondering what else you've got. Took me a while to figure this out.

looks like my accordion was produced by Quagliardi and not Sonola as first thought, any info regarding this brand would be much appreciated as there is very little information out there

I've got Orlando Quagliardi (Castelfitardo) 1921 - 1981

I'm afraid to ask what's the definition of a man who cannot play an accordion, but does
As I certainly fall into that category.

Welcome to the forum Gordon.
You're about a 6th Gordon I know of who plays an accordion in Central Belt.
