Hello everyone, I'm a brass repair tech that recently acquired an interest in the accordion. I think it's a mildly amusing story so allow me to tell you a tale. My girlfriend is saw a TikTok of an elementary music teacher that used an accordion to instruct and accompany their class. Well, shortly after that, someone donated an old dirty Hohner Student II to the store. So, I asked if I could have it to try and fix it up for her birthday. I figured that, while I'm no expert on accordion repair, my years as a brass tech should give me a decent start. I'm thinking about making other threads about my acquisitions and repairs just for fun. Anyway, I got it playing in time for her birthday and it was a hit. After working on that little Hohner it made me want one of my own so I bought a broken one on eBay and it's been a lot more work. I'll save the details for another day.
