Hi, my name is Pete and I was member of and very occasional poster on Al's accordion forum. I own a (cheap old) piano box, I just can't get to grips with it! My main squeezy thing is English concertina although I have a couple of diatonic button accordions (melodions) which I can get a few tunes out of and I find them fun to play and quite intuitive although getting both hands going at once can be a bit of a task. I'm a Yorkshireman now living in Kent and my main musical interest is English traditional with strong leanings towards the Northumbrian pipers repertoire although there's lots of other music I enjoy too. That's me then, I'm now off to hide in the bellows folds until I have something worthwhile to say! :D

Welcome, there is a query lower down (from Pippa, in "Tunes") about the core English traditional tunes - you might be the ideal personal to add something worthwhile to that one... I have no idea how you get your head round the English Concertina, lovely instrument though.

Thanks for the welcomes, I've now found and replied to Pippa's thread on session tunes. English concertina is very logical Matt, honestly!

Hi Pete welcome on board.
