Don't get your hopes up too high - This is a request to see inside a Chinese factory.
Via YouTube, we can see how they make mobile phones, motorcycles and many other items but not accordions.
We have seen links to East European, Russian, German, Swiss, Brazilian and other plants but not Far Eastern.
Can any one help?
Garth

No of course don't get any hopes to high. There is no freedom laws in a communist country and you will only see what the government wishes you to see.

I know, its not really what youve asked for (accordion production in China), but its a start.

some videos from China, Indonesia and Japan on music instrument production in Asia.

Factory working is not for a country bumpkin like me but I am very impressed with the above films plus it gives me a better idea of the scale of the operation(s).
The second 'beater' accordion I bought was a 1960s 4-voice, 120 bass Parrot and I couldn't fault 99% of it. Unfortunately the bass machine, which was a lift-out unit, had been badly butchered by a previous owner who had rendered it beyond repair.
Thanks again
Garth

From my reading of the above comments, I have ascertained that the manufacturers of many other products have allowed filming inside their facilities, and that the resultant videos are freely available on YouTube. This would appear to contradict claims of government secrecy and a conspiracy to withhold or deny access to Accordion Factories.

Perhaps the answer has more to do with the general lack of interest in a small niche product. I really cannot see industrial espionage or counter-espionage playing much of a part in Chinese Accordion manufacturing, but I stand ready to be contradicted by anyone who has evidence to the contrary.

Though they have European sounding names on them, many of the electrical gadgets I have bought in the last few years have been made in China. My new DELL Laptop was made in China, as was a TV I recently purchased. You can't get away from it, US & EU Corporations are using China for its cheap labour. Presumably these Corporations are fully aware of the political situation, and choose to ignore it for the sake of profit. Those who decry China's Human Rights record or political system should have the courage of their convictions, and refuse to buy products manufactured under this regime. Good luck with that!!!

Kind Regards,

Stephen Hawkins.
