Hi guys, newbie here and I have a nice looking, I think Eastern European, accordion and just wondered what it was, where it was from and is it old or modern?
Appreciate any info that you guys might be able to give on its origin and any guesses on value also appreciated. Its unusual to me as it has 5 tone (Don't know if that is what they are called) buttons on the treble side of the keyboard. 37 treble keys and 80 Bass, nice sound but these tone keys change the sound a fair bit.
Thank you to everyone in advance,
Kevin

You probably mean Zarya 2 (ЗАРЯ 2). It looks to be a Soviet-era piano accordion, so its likely not going to be considered a very good instrument and consequently wont be worth much. They bayans they made at the time were good, but the piano accordions not so much. If you look on the Russian classifieds site Avito youll see these going for the equivalent of roughly $50 - $200 (and that doesnt even mean its realistic).

Here are some more pictures: https://encrypted.google.com/search?q=заря+2+аккордеон&hl=en&source=lnms&tbm=isch

Those 5 register switches indicate that it has 3 different reed sets in the right hand (LMM). On some of the photos you can see this by the dots on the switches.

There seems to a be a rough consensus that these accordions are worse compared to a similar Weltmeister, like the Stella.

If you want to have a go at badly translated forum posts about this instrument:

Morne, many thanks for so much info. Some guy brought it into me and I had no clue, so all that info is great to give back to him and at least he knows what he has
Thanks again
Kevin
