I have one of these: Nota standard chair. Fairly pricey, I got mine discounted when they were overstocked. I find it beneficial when playing both accordion, melodeon and various fretted string instruments. There are various other specialist manufacturers and suppliers of other brands, but this is the one I use.
This has already been discussed on. a previous thread.
My favourite seat whilst playing/practising is an antique piano stool which can be screwed up or down as the seat is mounted on a threaded spindle. I think I've posted a picture of it some time ago.

Well, it seems to have a limited number of goes /lifespan before it switches off?
I've reset it, and it worked great, but will it keep working??
Don't know.
Apparently not:sorry!?
I need something portable so it must be reasonably lightweight yet sturdy.
I bought an Ibanez guitarists folding stool which is not ajustable, but with a height of 650mm has been ideal for me for the last 3 years. The guitar rests are easy to remove.
Tom,,
Thanks for the suggestion, only trouble is I only have an iPhone: no computer.
I've tried evey whichway to save it using that. Just doesn't work.
Never mind!
Dingo,.....hmm, must be a way to save it to your phone, I use android so can't help you ?. I'm sure there is "resizing" app you can get for your phone as I hsve for android.... Good luck!
OK, I've taken Tom's advice, checked out the Apple App Store and here's my latest effort.
Let's see if it works ?
It seems to have (so far). Fingers crossed ?
I've used drum thrones for years for practicing & performing. In the past 50+ years I have worn out a few, had 2 stolen and
now use what I feel is the best throne made today. ---
