Accordion clubs

I'm glad I found this club. The closest one around here is 150 miles away. I am a member but I never go because it's a weeknight.

Right, apologies everyone for keeping you waiting for this list. A bit of awkwardness that was holding me back is now resolved, but not how I expected. I went along thinking one was about to close, instead I am now the chair. Im not quite sure how that happened. List coming soon.

Im just down the road from you and I fly back to Belize in January, probably be my luck to find out the club is within walking distance all this time!

No, it's one of them on the list I sent you, but I've been dealing with all sorts of things this year, not what I expected, so I'm sorry you never heard more from me. I hope the Brum experience has been a good one...

Now: I owe everyone an apology on this. I volunteered to do a list of UK accordion clubs, because it would be a good thing to have on the forum. Although, as people suggested on the thread, there is plenty out there if you google it, I don't think any of the obvious places on the net come close to being complete (e.g. UKAO). What I was going to do was:

- get hold of a copy of Accordion Profile magazine
- type up the list of clubs
- add to it some stuff that I know is on the net
- add to it some stuff I know personally
- throw it open to anyone else to add to it
- ask for help on Scotland where they have the box and fiddle club scene (but is that website complete?)
- ask for help on Northern Ireland (different again?)

Which would have been great only I didn't do it. Sorry. I won't bore you with my excuses. So, if anyone else wants to do it, or part of it, please do. If not, I still volunteer to do it, but not this month. It would be a good thing to have.

Im guessing that was a link to SE Cornwall Accordian Club (doesnt seem to work for me though) who I believe are based in Liskeard, not far from where I live. I had a quick look around the interweb for their details with not much luck. I eventually found some contact details on a German lsite. A list on this site would be very useful {}
