Where to advertise?

Good luck with the sale @Rocko. I hope it goes well and you realise the full potential from the remarkable Hopkins collection. I'd have loved to have been in Belfast to see these instruments in person... any excuse to visit the Emerald Isle!

All the best!

Sonola ss4

Was sold prior to the auction house collecting. I think it went to Sean O'Neills in Tyrone. We have seven other Sonola's however.

A Settimio Soprani "Castello" 120 bass?

Have one. Unfortunately, it's not in good condition.

Is there anyone out there that could run their eye over the entire list and maybe highlight some we should be paying attention to? We reached out to Rob Howard but he's yet to respond.

I've stupidly taken it upon myself to make an easier to follow pre-sale catalogue which has taken a solid day. If I get it finished before the auction, I can send it to whoever is interested.

I wonder if these can be shipped to the US and what the cost would be? Or is it pickup only?

Hi Tom, yes international shipping is available.

We've had enquires from the US, South America, Belarus, Ukraine and most of Western Europe. The Scandalli on page 1 was collected by two gents from Dublin and forwarded to the new owner in America.

Thanks Rocko! So, if someone won a bid, what would be the procedure to get it to the US?

I'll double check the process with the auction house, they will handle everything.

From Amatona to Verdi, we have them all :)
All huh? Hohner Gola 459? I would be surprised. I scoured the world a few years ago for mine, found only 2 between North America, Europe and Japan... one of which was junk! :D

If the event is online (please make sure to post the date here well in advance?), I will have to take a look at a few that hold some interest for me. My problem is that I am more of a Imperator, Morino, Gola kind of guy... lol

Could you send me a pre-sale catalogue too please, should one become available. Thanks.

Unfortunately not, as some b@stard stole it out of his house in 2012.

Interesting! Mine, and all the photos I've seen are with a grey marble finish, but this is different. It may be in poor condition, but I may take a punt for parts to repair my own Castello. Thanks for finding it for me!

Ugh... sorry to hear that. You used the right word to describe them, though! :)
Please include me in the pre-sales catalog. Let us know if you need an email address to send to.

Thanks!

Almost certainly stolen to order. The Gardai found a handful of the cheaper ones in a field a few months later.
