Hi there.
I have a quick question about trad. Wiltshire (UK) tunes for accordion.

Does anyone know of any, or are there any which are local to the region if not the specific county? I'm thinking specifically of a local tune someone might play at a maypole dance, or other village fair setting. Something lively but not amazingly hard. A stock, trad. tune one would likely pick up at local sessions etc. or be taught by a teacher.

I hope this isn't too specific. If it had an extra tie to the County it would be an extra bonus but please feel free to suggest anything which may occur to you. A good selection would be brilliant.
Thanks so much for your time,
Tony

There is also a Great Wishford Faggot Dance in Wiltshire
The Alfred williams material is in http://www.alfredwilliams.org.uk/fullenglish.html .
There are also modern Wiltshire folk tune writers.
Does this help?

Absolutely! I couldn't have asked for a more specific reply to start things off! Wow. Brilliant! I'll listen to these now.
Thanks so much :)

Not quite Wiltshire, but I discovered "Hampshire Dance Tunes... Country Dance Tunes from the Pyle Family Manuscript 1822" in the London Hobgoblin shop (ISBN 0-9554082-0-2)
