That's just great. I'd take Brazilian groovy baselines over flashy extravagance most days. And the two go together often enough! Recently introduced to a forth or fifth Brazilian genre. It's a big country with so many overlapping cultures. Makes me dizzy.

Brazil has at least four styles I guess, I just heard of choro, which is I guess an ancestor of samba and such. I don't pretend to understand. But here's a modern group that has added accordion to the older instruments:


The other Brazilian folk genres featuring s that I know of are:

Wow, great Choro, thanks Bruce! Almost as many styles as terms for the accordion. Everyone loves Gaúcha: Is that a diatonic with Stradella bass? It's hard to tell....
