We got to do our own thing. Don’t think our accordions have to sound like those youtube videos. I will never become a fast technical player, but my basic singing skills cover up for it, I think. It wasn’t until recently, I learned to perform one Hour Shows with nonstop playing and singing. Much more enjoyable to me then playing those 3-4 hour party/ Restaurant Gigs. Even if a compliment is critical and not so good, at least they are listening. That is 95% of the performance goal.

Yes but this can also mean the organisor actually wants you to be wallpaper, because of the nature of the event, like a social networking thing, where people are meant to have coonversations.
