Not saying your idea is wrong... but I doubt any one of these people attract any jokey attention because they wear a full gove:
Glad youre not... because none are wearing a fish net glove....

all I can say is that in 60 years of playing I have never had a problem with the bass strap on ANY box and certainly not considered wearing a glove or other such apendage, nor do I know anyone else who has!

If there is a rotella to adjust the strap tension experiment with it to find the best setting and if not have the strap set very lightly on the loose side with wrist in middle i.e opposite C bass andvery slightly arch the wrist to effectively tighten the strap. With this setting (ish) the wrist should be a nice fit higher or lower in the strap

Hello Tony,

You see what you've started?

Responses of a serious nature, mixed in with humour, innuendo, references to cross-dressing, etc.

I like it ........... Well Done !!!

Kind Regards,

Stephen.

I'm with George on this.
Almost every time I pick up someone else's accordion the first thing I do is slacken the left strap... and it is not that I am so very large in the wrist and paws department.

Some people are more sweaty than others and certain materials promote a sticky situation. I've noticed metal end covers and imitation ( vinyl ?) leather straps can be inhibitors to free movement. A smooth wooden end cover and a natural hide strap ,adjusted as George suggests.... .

Hi Stephen,

Thank you. It just goes to show one that accordion players are a mixed bag of nuts.

Hi Tony,

"A mixed bag of nuts", that is for sure. But, dear boy, that is a whole other thread, and quite a large one I'll warrant.

Another time ................ Perhaps.

Kind Regards,

Stephen.
