I wondered if anybody might recognize the builder or importer of this early 1950s (possibly late 1940s) accordion. It only seems to have a model name with the brand name text long gone.

I had traded away the accordion I kept on the boat last season, and needed something decent and rewarding to play but not too valuable. A friend sold me this one for a good price. It’s non cassotto but a very decent player with responsive and loud TAM reeds. Tuning and compression are both pretty good and I think it’s going to fulfill my application well. Seems like a very nice general purpose black accordion.

Excelsior??
Usually even the Accordiana branded instruments have a “by Exceslior” on the back(which is lacking on this instrument), I think it was made by another builder potentially to be perceived as a competitor to some Excelsior models with similar names.
