Opinions on this Petosa. What do you estimate its value might be? Do you think it would be an upgrade over a Petosa SM300, LMM, 41 keys, 16.5", 3 registers? Thank you!

Hi Rafael! This is a very cool accordion. The white treble switches make me think it’s a three treble voice. What are the round silver buttons for on the treble side?

As to comparison to the SM300, I couldn’t say. I think a lot would have to do with the internal condition and quality of sound of the two accordions, and how they sound and play to you. It’s hard to find your ideal accordion, and you have considered a few. I wish you luck with your purchases!

Hi Tom! As far as I've been able to research, it's an organ accordion model, and the silver buttons were the organ registers. As is common with other similar accordions, the electronics (apparently made in collaboration with Ella) had been removed due to obsolescence, so only the acoustic part remains. I've been sent a couple of videos and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with its operation. However, I've had a hard time finding out how for how much similar accordions have been sold. Regards.

Ah, I see, thank you. I’m sorry I can’t help with the valuation, but maybe someone on here could….. Good luck!

well, as said many times in the past, very old organ accordions
have a lot of issues, and must be evaluated in person because
of them.

the reeds tended to be lower quality

the extra bulk/dimension of the accordion that was there to
accommodate the electronics will still be there, forever..

very very few models had a professional (dual pivot) action

the odd placement of shifts may be inconvenient in use

so you cannot just look at pictures and assume it is equal
to typical acoustic accordions of it's era

plus, the "bling" was likely done decades after the old
thing was built, possibly by the re-furbisher to make it
appear to be from a more modern era and more valuable

If this was evaluated as a pure 41/120 3-reed accordion we'd be looking at around $750-$1500 thanks to the name and glitter. Because it's an earlier analog electronic accordion that's been "butchered", I would have to say less as they are generally heavier than the same accordion without the electronics and therefore, less desireable. How much less, if anything depends on the final condition of the acoustic part of the accordion and how cleanly the electronics were removed.

This is just an opinion... some will tell you more, others less. Ultimately an accordion is worth EXACTLY what a buyer pulls out of his wallet for it. :)
