I am interested if anybody knows of any good music suitable for a duo of accordion and banjo

Some friends of ours play Domino as a trio with CBA and fiddle lead and banjo for rhythm. They occaisonally play Ca Gaze as well.

Some Auvergnat Valse can work well with a banjo and accordion. L'Aurillacoise, Valse a Bouscatel. As do Auvergne Bourree, such as "Bourree d'aumont" "Lo Crousado"

I really like Daniel Denechau's jazzy Java's as well. Java des Fatigues springs to mind.

putting 'jase musette' into youtube should turn up some stuff - inc percussion with humour

What sort of banjo?

Typically -
5 string - American old time or Bluegrass
Plectrum G - "Easy listening" "Vaudeville"
C tuned tenor - trad jazz
G tuned tenor - Irish trad

Try listening to some of Frosini's recordings. "Olive Blossoms" is one example where he plays accompanied by a banjo player, albeit purely for bass & chord support.
