I figured it out. The auto shutoff was what shut it off.

V-accordions also have that "feature", in their case it is to save on battery use. Cool that you figured this one out.

Yes, in EU at least it is required the devices shut off completely. My Montage has an electromechanical device which moves the power switch to OFF. Fortunately, they still allow to disable such "feature". And my Genos has an electronic version of the power off, which can be also disabled. But, as it never leaves my home, that is not disabled
