Hi
Just wondering if anyone in the Forum has found a good match for the above

Actually all stereo type headphones will work well with all Roland products. Many of the V accordion owners I know, have over the years saved older headsets and earbuds that were used in old Walkmans and portable music players and use them with only an adapter -- http://www.amazon.com/Hosa-GPM-103-..._1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1448917900&sr=8-1&keywords=1 -- and are well satisfied with the sound quality. Pro-type headphones are really not necessary unless you might need a set that cancels outside sounds.

Agree. Ive been using the headset that came with the Sony Sports Walkman Radio bought as a gift to my wife more than 20 years ago.

I do think you will benefit from a decent set of headphones. The sound would have a more equal reproduction of frequencies thus allowing you to benefit from the quality of the Roland pre - amps built in to the instrument. That they have to be top of the range things is not really necessary but something that can reproduce a bit of base and a clean treble won't go amis.

In the UK I found only two offered by Roland - one at about £60 and one at £200+
I've had the cheaper one for a couple of years and found it excellent with the FR1XB.
Incidentally much better than 'buds' or a JVC that cost about the same.

i'd probably suggest a set with exchangeable wires, as they get a fair few tugs when being used with the FR8X. Sennheiser HD25 are a very good headphone.

Many thanks for all the advice and suggestions. In the end I bought Roland Rh300 headphones at about £130. I'm very pleased indeed with them and they provide a much better sound than the Grado headphones they replaced. The improvement in the sound of the Orchestral bass is particularly noticable

I must be getting too old for this.
Do I read it that someone is searching for an head mounted adaptor to make their electronic box of tricks sound like an accordion?
I've got a suggestion and it doesn't need to be plugged into a wall socket.
Garth

It may just be that owners of electronic instruments wish to keep their playing private as not to make others jealous.
