Hello, new to this forum. My name is Daniel and I’m looking for some of this material in the photo, to do a small repair on my accordion. Can’t seam to find this anywhere. I contacted Gabbanelli but they currently don’t have the same one to match mine.
There's various ones advertised on eBay.
Also, some varieties are available in our local hardware chain: try yours?
(Search: expanded metal mesh for sale)
What's wrong with the original mesh?
I once had some dents in a vintage Scandalli expanded metal mesh grille.
l was able to knock them out with a soft faced hammer.
Virtually invisible result!
Also, try searching for "perforated metal sheeting ".
Is it like this one (model 34)?
Check hobby supply shops. You can get the silver, and then spray a transparent yellow on it. The stock screen was probably yellow anodized and will probably be hard to find.
I was rebuilding the grill for a Giuleitti and could not find the expanded metal I needed, the stuff at art supply houses was close, but was a very soft aluminum and dented way to easy, I found some stuff on ebay that was being sold as custom truck grill mesh, slightly different hole size but it looked great. This might work, it is brass https://www.hobbylinc.com/scale-sce...ass-screen-model-railroad-scratch-supply-3501
