I purchased the above-captioned instrument on eBay several years ago, and I really don't know much about it. I have attached pictures. Is there a chance someone can help me? We have a family financial situation that can be helped by my selling this instrument.
The potential value of such a nice instrument highly depends on the condition "under the hood" (under the grille, and inside: reed blocks, reeds, valves)... none of which are visible in any of the pictures. Some of these will be in pristine condition inside and others may have serious issues, with leathers, rust and other corrosion, etc. All of these can be nice and shiny on the outside.
Thank you, Paul. (I am having trouble navigating this site...Please excuse "multiple replies" if that's what I've done!)
Are you able to suggest what I should do, next, to sell this instrument? My family is in financial need.
Well this one if not for the yellowed keys looks pristine. But when appraising an accordion we must remember "Beauty
is only skin deep . An internal inspection is needed before a final appraisal is determined.
Pic's of the internal cavity will help. If the internals are like the external condition it should go for up to $3000 USD.
Now any internal work will have to be discounted from this estimate.

Thank you, Jim. I think this accordion is in "good" but not "pristine" condition. I need help, though...
When I purchased the instrument, I paid a technician $200 to have it "cleaned and serviced." That seemed wise. I also bought a hard case from her. The accordion is very heavy for me (at age 71) and my family is in need of "funds," which is why I hope to sell it. I would love to think it's worth anywhere near $3,000, but right now time is of the essence and I hope to find "the right person" to give it a home.
I have a telephone appointment with a gentleman, tonight, but I appreciate your message. Thank you for taking the time, Jim.
