Good evening,

I recently bought this accordion, and I am trying to find out about the brand. It says made in Italy, and I like Italian accordions, was just trying to find out if it is a good quality instrument. Any info or links to point me to info would be appreciated.

It is certainly a beautiful instrument!

The accordion in your picture was made by the firm of Silvio Marota of Italy. The firm made accordions from 1946 to 1966 and this
one is of thier last Concerto model designs of the 60.s. The firm also made accordions badged Lo Duca Bros. for export to the US.
I've worked on many in the past and always found them of quality build.

Thank you for that info! That is what I was looking for.

I have a significantly simpler (only 2-reed treble) Marotta Concerto that must be about the same vintage. It was my "starter" accordion, but it plays well and I love it dearly. It's nice to have a more exact idea of when it was made now.
