Can anyone name this tune please or is it simply one made up by the accordion player to demonstrate the range of registrations on the box?

Thanks

Hello Phil,

Sorry, I have no idea what this tune is. It sounds a bit Scottish, but I could very easily be wrong. Certain parts of it reminded me of "When The Boat Comes In" but, then again, I may be barking up the wrong tree.

Anyway, it is a pleasant enough tune. I hope someone can tell you what it is.

Kind Regards,

Stephen.

It is called 'Inisheer' , named after the Aran island closest to the coast of Co.Clare.

Yes, it does sound a wee bit Scottish, though it is a recent composition by a visitor to Ireland ( as far as I recall).

Thanks for your help guys. I guess it's now up to me to try and copy this performance as I have exactly the same accordion with all these 11 treble registrations. Should be interesting to see if they sound the same. i don't think he changes the bass registrations whilst playing,
I found the music with several variations but hopefully I can work out which chords he is playing.
