Greetings,

Could someone advise when 140 Bass Renato Massini potentially made?
Is the any value in such an instrument?
Kind regards,
Alex

I doubt the year is that important, but his story in the link that it came across in the 20s, is wrong. That accordion is later than that for sure, probably 1940s. If the OP wants an estimated value better post up a pic and a good description of condition... unless he's talking about the one in the link?

JerryPH and Soulsaver ,

Thank you for sharing your expert knowledge so promptly!
My understanding that year of 1920 is quite critical for value assessment.
I red that anything before 1920 could be considered as antique or something very unique ....correct me if I am wrong.
Kind regards,

Alex

The link was one that I found after doing a quick search. If I was incorrect, the ad was incorrect. :)
That is what I understood - which is why I said, .. his story in the link...

Before my time... :D Thats a subject worthy of a new thread to gather possible interest - but the question has been asked on here before.. and nobody comes forward with anything suggesting there is anything significant. Maybe they keep their cards close to their chests?

This one is a late 30's early 40's and because of it's mediocre construction, is not financially worth restoring. :|

As for the year of manufacture the waterfall keys and aluminum treble valves are a dead giveaway.
