I cannot find any in Oz, so I am guessing I'll have to buy from the US, any suggestions for where to buy?

wouldn't any make standard accordion straps be suitable?
So, just Google accordion straps for sale near me and Bob's your uncle!🤔

Thanks - yes after I psoted and did some searching it seems any after market straps will do. Couldn't find the left hand strap assembly though.

Joden,
The bass strap usually requires some minor disassembly of the lhs in order to disengage and thread through and refilt the old strap with the new. There are videos demonstrating this (on the link above).🙂

Cool, thanks!!

What is the consensus over leather -v- the webbing ones used by Roland?

I actually cannot find webbing style ones in Oz...found some decent (apparently Italian leather) ones.

So I am just curious if leather is still the "go-to"?

Personally, I think the fr4 straps are pretty nice, but would benefit greatly from a backstrap (which I have not tried yet). Might be all you need. I like the adjustment on them. Not sure whether a nice pair of wide leather (like I have on my acoustics) would be an improvement (but would look better 😋🪗). This is just my opinion, your results will vary. What about the fr4 straps don't you like?

so far (devil's advocate) the new owner doesn't seem to like
the original accordion programming, the included Rhodes Piano's, the Straps,
the soft case, the battery scheme,

i wonder what seemed worth the great pile of money he spent on it
with so little (apparently) to like ?

Yes. (y)

These are straps from an FR-7b, with a backstrap added and some other modifications, making it very similar to a Neotech Deluxe Accordion Harness.

By the way, the accordion is a Cavagnolo similar to this one, with bellows straps and a backpad added.

They are fraying bit under the connector end. Thought I'd preempt a disaster haha!

And yes, a back strap DEFINITELY!! left strap even though adjusted correctly, keeps slipping outwards.
