Headphones?

I have been playing the FR-4x a bit at night with headphones (gotta love it for that alone) but the headphone wire is annoying the crap out of me. No matter whaat order I put everything on/plug in, I feel like the wire (curly lead type) is trying to do it's best to strangle me.
What do others do
Is there a reasonable (reasonable = cheap(ish)) wireless solution?

I have the same situation, curly cord and all. But I never felt that the cord was strangling me. I bring it up between he accordion and my chest, then along side my neck.

Somebody will, no doubt, point you in the direction of a wireless solution., but it’s likely to cost a few bucks.

i have three types:
1. curly cord, runs between chest and accordion so it is sort of secured
2. long straight cord, runs in front on top and secured by bellows strap out to the front into external audio source
3. in-ear, runs ear into collar on my back down to hip and accordion

This is my headphones setup.

Starting with a 1/4-1/8 right angle adapter, the cord goes under the bellows pad.



Up to the top, it goes under the backstrap anchor.



The headphones have a right angle adapter that can turn 360 degrees. I plug/unplug the headphones by doing/undoing the connection between the cord and the right angle adapter.

You know, there *is* a way to make them wireless and at a very low latency. It may take an adapter, and require a headset that has a removable plug/wire, but with a little adapting, quite possible.

In my recent post about how I untethered my 8X, I used a stereo transmitter. Why not use that same transmitter/receiver for a headphone setup?

Transceivers:

Black inserts in to the headphone output of the V-accordion and... Silver plugs in to one of these male TRS 6mm to 1/4" female stereo adapters:


The above plugs in to the headset.

No, its not really "affordable" so to speak (probably around $150 + the cost of the headsets), but if you absolutely need wireless headphones, now there is at least an option.
