Hi,
So, I just bought a Hohner Tango 1 (1935-38) and, like with most old instruments, I wondered where it had been, who had played it, etc.
Anyways, I took the back plate off (panel that protects coupler mechanism on the back of the keyboard) and there written in pencil was the original owner's name, town and date (12/12/37!)! Further up there's another name and date from someone else from 1962. Fantastic to know a little bit about the instrument's history!
Anyways, I just wondered if this was common? Has anyone else found something similar or have you added your own name to an accordion perhaps?
I am now preparing for the task of revalving, refelting, etc
