I'd be interested to know from the VAccordian players who gig. Which effects pedals do you find most useful? And why?

Effect pedals are not necessary when using a "V" accordion. The effects are programmable on the instrument.

Do I need the outboard FX? No.

Now me being old school I like the the foot control. So I use the lesley patch from a floor pod. So I can pick slow, off and fast with my foot as I'm playing.
Also have delay on and off with an over drive set up to. I use it with a dry accordion sound and the organ. I can tap in a new delay time real time. For those nights when the bands fast or slow.

If I was better at programing I still would want the foot control.

Mabe a midi controler to change the patches by foot.

Exactly my thoughts - fingers occupied, feet under-employed, need to change a patch between verses, have midi ---

Sure, once I get the thing and start using it, I may be wrong. But even with an NR700 keyboard, a foot midi controller would be great.

This one looks the Bogs Dollocks, and it isnt that costly either. I could use it on other midi instruments as well......

In the rock band I am constantly turning the lesley FX on and off while holding down a cord.
It depends on what you want to do. Lots of different ways to go.

Apologies for off topic, but...
You may have heard Phil Cunningham's story about the Know-all who comes up during the interval of a concert saying "his wife wants to know" what the foot pedal is for. "Oh, that's the accelerator" says Phil, "it controls the speed of the tune."
Enquirer is satisfied.

No disrespect or stereotypes intended, but Phil doing a Yorkshire accent for this story is very funny, as it is when he and Aly do "London."

...back to helpful comments about effects pedals. :D
