When cars had engines instead of batteries!😄

I found it somewhat amusing to see flames issuing from the exhaust manifold of the Fiat S76, and the spectators jumping out of the way!😄

Impressive! Useless fact: Between 1900 and 1920 30% of the vehicles on the road were electric. The introduction of gasoline in the 20's spelled the end of the electric cars.
My brother rebuilt a 1932 Studebaker with a straight 8 and updraft carb. First time he fired it up with no exhaust manifold., I thought the garage was going to catch fire.
