The Verdi II you show is quite old, and not as popular as the later Verdi II that looks like the picture below.
This one (picture taken from an ad on the Dutch "marktplaats.nl") is very robust, essentially indestructible, and just always works.
Beware the even newer ones that are made in China (and do not have as many shiny ornaments on the grille) because they are rubbish.
£680 is certainly too much for the old one you showed. The ones like I show here go for 500 to 600 euro here.

Depending on inspection -- $300.00 USD

These older Hohners ALWAYS seem to have corrosion on the bellows corners & metal fittings.
The metal plating & anodizing is extremely of poor quality.

That's dreadful , Jim.?
All this even well before the Chinese had anything to do with it??
How disappointing!!?
Poor anodising seems to be an issue with many accordion makers, I notice.?

Right, but the newer ones, between the one Knobby showed and the ones made in China are actually very good. They are solid performers, and apart from the master palm switch nothing ever breaks, and no corrosion on the bellows corners or anywhere else! I have not been a big fan of quite a few models Hohner made but the Verdi of the generation I showed is an exception. My wife played a Verdi V of the same generation and it was an absolutely trouble-free accordion (except for the master palm switch which I had to glue with celluloid glue and has been fine ever since).

I notice Allodi in London has a Verdi 11n for £690 including a 3 year guarantee.
