Here it is, version 1 anyway, I think thats as good as Im going to get it now, the chances of me holding my nerve completely for over three minutes seem to be slim.

Da Slockit Light, played on a Paolo Soprani 5-voice: .

Thanks Matt,
I really like the slow (proper lament) approach, especially when the bass comes in 1st time around.
Makes me want to redo this one again in amore messured style.

This is the problem I had with it. How to play the L/H part slowly without it becoming turgid. The new TOTM seems a lot easier..

Onwards and Upwards. :)

That's lovely, Matt. I like what you've done to add interest to the tune without speeding it up.

Thank you, thank you. Pippa, yes it sounds lovely, thank you. I was that nervous I forgot to switch to three middle reeds, it would have sounded even better then. I had lent it to someone whose need was greater than mine and I now have it back. I bought it off a Scottish guy, perhaps you can tell from the tuning ;-) ? The Paolo Soprani contintenal chromatics sell for medium prices when they come up for sale, and they don't play as smoothly as a real high-end instrument, but there is something special about the sound, and it's light which I find helps with the expression, and somehow it seems to be designed in a way that suits Scottish music... Definitely great value for money when they do come up.
