I love to play this song. I try to put my version on the soundcloud this week.

I managed to rise to the challenge and record a version - first time I've ever recorded myself on accordion. Ouch, gosh that was awful. Oh well.

Anyway, after considerable experimentation with data formats (it looks like I was obliged to convert to AIFF? yikes), I realized that I didn't really care to use this soundcloud account, because their account creation was tied to some other identity domain and I'm kind of fastidious about that. I mean, it's little more than habit by now, and at any rate it probably wouldn't take a determined person 10 minutes to connect the dots and get some information about my real world identity from "donn" at accordionists.co.uk, but for the moment I'd just as soon be wrapped in mystery as best I can. So the world will be spared my miserable rendition of Metsäkukkia.

The NSA know all about it already Donn. The horse has well and truly bolted already so you may as well leave the gate wide open.
If I remember in my case you only needed an email account. Thats pretty normal for any of these services. You dont have to give any further details that your alias.

As for the need of AIFF conversion, that surprises me. I just squirt up an MP3 and they swallow it.

I don’t that you have to link to another domain, and you can use any name you like, plus .mp3’s seem to upload ok.. Ok, so whats my excuse?

OK, I can't account for what I thought I saw before, I can indeed create an account of my choosing (except that some rascal in Houston has stolen my name.)

The problem with MP3 was that using MacOS standard issue software to make the recording, it comes out in MP4, and if there's anything here that will convert that to MP3 I don't know about it. I guess I should look around for some 3rd party application.

Then there's the problem with my playing. Actually haven't touched the box for weeks, while I've been getting my chops up on tuba for various reasons, enjoying the new gut strings on my bass, etc. Maybe my accordion playing will be better after a rest. Practice never helped much, anyway.
