I recently acquired this little Titan - Serial #56252 and was hoping someone could tell me what year it was made and the model? Engraved “Product of Titano - Made in Italy”. It plays and sounds absolutely awesome for its size. Photo attached. Thank you 😊

You have a 2/4 reed student model Titano "Titan".
Made by Victoria and were imported here to the US from the 50's thru 60's.
Looks like VERY LOW mileage and in pristine condition.

Very similar to the instrument I started on so many decades ago:

While mine is from the mid-60's, yours looks to be a model from the 70's and with a couple of interesting differences on the bass side. While the white one is a 50- button bass box (first time I see one), it is missing the diminished chords, while mine is a reduced 48-button box but has the diminished row of bass buttons. Yours has a 30 key right hand vs my 37 key right hand. I've always seen my accordion as tiny, your has to be even smaller! :)

Titano was nothing if interesting in their design and thought processes.

BTW, I was not aware that this model was made by Victoria, thanks Jim! :D

Thanks Jim D and JerryPH. Love your comment “very low mileage” and yes pristine for sure! I’ve been playing full-size & jr size Hohners and an Accordiana since the late 60’s (yep 😁) and am really enjoying this size and a surprisingly fast keyboard - really amazing LITTLE accordion that seems to have obvious high quality craftsmanship, just loving it! Not sure what made by Victoria means?
Also quite a span for age estimation - 50’s to 70’s? Any way of narrowing this down a little more thru the serial# ? Thanks again guys - new to this wonderful forum 🙂 🎶

I prefer and always have an eye out for compact accordions, and have had the good luck of acquiring two of these. One in black, one in white identical to the OP's and looking almost as-new, like the OP's. They are both LM, a sound I prefer for tango and Balkan/gypsy/Eastern European.

Prices have gone up somewhat. My black one was literally like $350, maybe 8/10 years ago, purchased on impulse from the 'bay, from someone in Canada. I was astonished to unpack an impeccable, pristine example. Linked below is the very white one I acquired about four years ago, priced at $600--I purchased from this gent in New Orleans who is demo-ing it here. Can't recall now where I came across the sale listing, I don't think it was the 'bay:

Liberty Bellows in Philadelphia prices them around $1200. There are several youtube demos of used examples they've had in and sold--They came in red, white, and black, and samples of all are on view in LB clips, all priced around $1195. Here is one clip (priced about lower longer ago). There are more on the 'tube:
