Titano Line-up

A lovely quartet of Titanos!

What's in the full collection these days @danp76 ?

Did you sell the wooden Siwa?
Hi! I still have the Siwa, I'm thinking of doing a 37/96 build in wood, maybe from Serenellini or Bugari. Maybe extra reeds sets and a bass decoupler switch. I may sell a Titano or two, they all sounds fairly similar, the Stroller is the "worst" of the 4, but still decent. Stroller has a "thinner sound" but still a well made accordion.

Current line-up: 4 Titano's, 2 Bugari's Siver/Gold Plus, Siwa Noce, Serenellini Regina Gold, Sonola SS15(will probably sell), Pancordion(newer model chambered baton and might sell) Petosa am1100, Excelsior 40 chambered( might sell), Zero-sette 34/72(might sell) Beltuna Leader Fly, Beltuna Spirit V, a few student accordions(Vesuvio and Victoria). I'm not sure what I'd build or buy next, I enjoy trying different accordions. The new ones drop in value quite quickly, which is unfortunate. Maybe an old classic Gola or Super VI if I could find one that was properly cared for, but that can be difficult.

Recently sold (past few years), Giulietti 127, Titano Emperor chambered, Moreschi chambered, Sonola SS5 and Sonola SS6, Excelsior Symphony chambered, Titano Grand Converter, Siwa Champion, Siwa Artist. I might be missing some....

Many thanks for this list. You just cured by feeling that I had too many accordions and should not be buying another one.
(I still likely will not buy another one, but at least that's not because I have too many. Actually... if I win a substantial amount in a lottery I might just buy a Bugari Nextra...)

Wow... you have and have had sone great instruments! I agree with Paul that it gives me comfort knowing there are others who share this “addiction”. I’m glad I’m not alone in this.
Your Titano collection looks great, I was wondering if there is a way to tell from a picture if a titano is full size or “junior”. I read sone where that the number of “vents “ On the grill tells you. I think 6 is regular full size?? But I’ve seen pix snd this doesn’t seem to be true. Do you know??
Also what’s your opinion on the newer made accordions , like your siwa, snd how they compare?

Finally to answer walkers question- I’d go with my Petosa am1100, excelsior ac, sonola ss 4. It’s hard to narrow things down but each of these is uniquely different for me and would serve a different purpose.
I’d like to add my bell 2520 and an excelsiola 740 too, but the ss4 is so light would be good for standing. The petosa and excelsior cover everything. I’m going back and forth. Also I’ve only picked chambered instruments. Its real hard to only pick 3😀😀

If you could only have a maximum of 3 accordions (and an unlimited budget) what would you go for?
Not sure if this is a general question or just for Dan, but since Nagant already answered, I would keep the Roland, and full sized Piatanesi 41/120, replacing the stroller with a 4/5 or 4/4. Get rid of all the others. Good thing the organetto and Corona 2 are not strictly "accordions." 😉🤣🪗 I don't feel a need to "upgrade" to fancy reeds, brand name, or provenance, my cordeens sound just fine to me thank you! Another treble reed on the stroller would be ok though. Someone is threatening to drop off 2 more this week, though (12 bass (?) which I (currently) have none of), so it could be tough.

Good point. I never thought about a Roland. I don’t own one but my dad does and it is fun to play. I don’t think only 3 is enough!!!

danp76 nice collection. ;)
I'm just wondering if you know about my Titano model? My dad gave it to me and I am wanting to find out if its an expensive professional accordion or not?IMG_9317.jpegIMG_9313.jpeg

This model has basically the first generation electronics of an Iorio S1, so that part is on the outdated side. That said, the accordion side looks to be a a nice 3/4 design, so not quite up to a pro model In terms of specs. Sure looks pretty though!
