Q:- Why are there no accordions in the music shops in Switzerland?

A:- Because Ruedi Wachter bought the lot!

The Record CBA he plays at the end of the clip (if you actually get there) is a Swiss make that are now made by Pigini, although the one he plays was probably made by Coop LArmonica. It apparently has Swiss Ländler tuning, of which I have no knowledge whatsoever. Sounds quite nice.

The normal Ländler set up appears to consist of two CBA accordionists and a double bass which is usually bowed rather than slapped. Im not going to make any bold statements about accordion in Switzerland as I dont really know anything about it. Only part of Switzerland Ive ever been to they spoke French and played Cavagnolos!

Just another bit of variety, unless youve heard it before.

Talking about French and Cavagnolos. It will probably come as no great surprise that there is a crossover between the Swiss Ländler and French musette styles in the south western part of Switzerland, and here it is an example of it:-
