strange title, it means decadent moods, depression, in Polish there is also such a term "splin krakowski", a state that can be a reason for "drowning a worm" or Polish vodka for spleen pain
theme in the climate, I really like the compositions and playing of Master Galliano, I also play it thanks to the accessible and understandable arrangement by A. Tomasi (from button fingering to piano)
Sounds wonderful!
I played this song live at a concert (in my own arrangement) with my accordion ensemble from Antwerp over 10 years ago, using an accordina for the solo part.
I have no idea why the song has this strange title, but that sould definitely not deter us from playing it!
"Le Spleen" wouldn't be weird to Galliano with its meaning of melancholy.
There is a vineyard in Moulis en Médoc called Chateau Chasse-Spleen - otherwise "Chase-away-the Blues."
Doesn't the title fit the mood of the music?
Maybe just a bit too cheerful?
