If you dont know what a Harpsichord is, its the ancestor of the piano, but had different properties and sound.

Harpsichord was used mainly in baroque period, which music history takes that as "early music" some sort of not the main thing. Maybe Renaissance music was some sort of boring according to our ears but baroque period have many gems to discover and in the past years, many of them unearthed as peoples interests are widened by using internet. Baroque period was a period of freedom of expression with a decent background of newly discovered music theory, still being used today. Bach, Vivaldi and Handel was not the only people around.
Anyways Scott Ross was the big guy in this weird baroque piano business in the 20th century, although not much people interested at that time. I wanted to put this here. Most of his works can be found at YouTube.
