Roland FR 8x battery.

Hi, I am looking for Roland fr 8x battery pack. I looked on net and there are lots of pros & cons for every battery manufacturers including Roland itself. I saw add for dov@ accshong.com batter, which claimed 1000 charges for 10-12 hour continuous play. I am concerned about all confusion and claims. I am looking for a good reliable battery pack on reasonable price. Any suggestion ?

Highest reliability... factory original. Best performing? Well, there are several options, but DIY is not a bad choices to make if you have the skills.

This reminds me of an experience I had with a battery operated electric drill/screwdriver.
I'd had it for several years when the battery died.
I responded to a whim to have the battery rebuilt by a local professional battery restorer/builder
( no originals being available any more).
I charged up the rebuild, inserted it into the "skin" and gave it a whirl.
Almost immediately a cloud of blue smoke arose from the armature accompanied by an acrid burning smell.
That turned out to be that!
In my case, I should have put the cost of "restoration " towards a complete new outfit!?

If you don’t want to do it yourself, contact batteryspace.com. I’m sure they can build you a NiMH battery pack as good as the Roland.
