Hello everyone im mew here ,i was wondering if anyone knows where i can find a roland fr 18 diatonic, i know that is discounted but i cant find not even a used  one i looked at e bay ,reverb, craigslist, Amazon, and various music stores...does anyone here have one or know where to look to find one??? Thank you

There's one for sale on Leboncoin, but that's in France. Maybe you would have more luck on the melnet site.

I believe the FR18 was not well received in the push/pull community - which would explain your difficulties.
I know its irritating when someone answers a different question to the one you asked, but do you know about the Streb?

http://www.streb.co.uk/eml_about.htm

Would the above meet your interests?

Best wishes - no connection with streb by the way

I have checked all your suggested music stores but no one has it
I am really shocked and surprised that there isn't any around

Well, Im surprised the Streb was of no interest- many diatonic players like them, including pro/skilled amateur players:

From the videos, the FR18 seems best-suited to cross row playing. So if you push/pull, beware.
Still trying to help, people on The Session dont seem too impressed so maybe somebody has one they would like to sell?

Dear friend thank you but you see im looking for a digital one ,i already have 2 classic ones ,roland fr 18 features is something that im looking for....midi and transportable

I've done a quick google of "Roland fr 18 diatonic for sale" and found several. Granted some are ridiculously priced, but they are out there.

I would also suggest as a minimum to do a google and run through them to see if you stumble across a deal. Same for places like eBay, or online sources like Kijiji (a Canadian thing), GumTree (a UK thing), or similar.

There is going to have to be a good amount of hunting on your end as this is neither a popular or current Roland V-Accordion model. :)

Wow 4000 dollars thats crazy.....but i really appreciate your help and i will take your advice......next!!!!!!!?

Well, last try - I do wonder if you looked at the Streb?
Every streb eMelodeon feels and plays like a conventional melodeon......A MIDI Out port allows the eMelodeon to act as a MIDI controller.....

And much more

maybe youve heard of Bellowhead?

Good luck.
PS The Streb goes back to 2003 - and that predates the Roland I believe.

I've email them

I am currently awaiting the delivery of my streb.  You should be aware that each instrument is custom made to the specific requirements of the purchaser.  I think that the company is effectively a single chap, Steve Rouse, who designed and manufactures them.  In my experience he is a fairly busy chap, so you may wait a little while before you get a reply.  If you order one then the wait for delivery may  also be quite long.

I took delivery of my Streb a couple of weeks ago, and I must say I’m very taken with it. The software and user interface are not for the faint hearted, but I’m having great fun trying out different key layouts. Mine came with a rudimentary Stradella for the twelve bass buttons. Which is fun.

They do come up once in a while. Keep looking. I found one in Newfoundland, Canada in November. Fun instrument! Now I can play in any key without having to carry 3 or 4 boxes to my gigs.
