Well the question. I am wondern if any one thinks that roland could upgrade the 3x to the same as the 8x? As far as all the x-tras. It would be nice to have the after tuch with out the weight. Or is it only a flag ship top modle thing? So don't hold my breath.

Roland will eventually replace the FR-3x with a much the same size and weight model with some advanced features and programs. But I must say, because of the popularity, features, and sales of the currently made FR-3x, it will be some time to see a replacement. Roland has been in the musical instrument business for some time now and are very aware of the old rhetorical question " Why would anyone try to fix something that works" ???

thanks Jim for the info. I just didn't want to get one and a week later they come out with a better one. It's been a hard choise with out one to try. Have not found a dealer with one instock to try. So flying blind and hoping for the best.

Hi....
I have owned a 3X for over 4 years and it has served me well. Sure it would be nice to have 8x features but I do not think Roland is interested in matching the two digital accordions feature for feature. The only thing which is an oversight is Roland's decision to forego a full 41 keys keyboard in favour of only 37 keys.....This is rather bizarre ;yet, I have nevertheless been able to adapt to the little inconveniences .
The accordion has so many possibilities that you will take years to master all the features..

Good luck!

Nick
