So I have been playing the accordion now for a bit over 2 years. As I am having a week vacation I had time to evaluate my progress.
To be honest: I'm not very happy. I enjoy playing very much and have a list of tunes I play. None of them without mistakes.
So I decided to take a step back and have planned to do teo things:
- Use a metronome. As a practising musician for over 40 years I hear clearly how a tune should sound. This makes me hasty for the result, resulting in mistakes. The metronome should keep me on a more realistic track.
- Secondly, I am going to work through a accordion method. Through one of the links provided on this forum I got a digital version of book 3 of Phil Baker's piano accordion method. I very much like how it is done. So via the Internet I bought book 1 of this method and working my way through it with my metronome. It is exactly what I like. Suits me like a glove!
So now I am looking for book 2.
Anyone here who can help me?
