Does anybody know if this arrangement is published anywhere? I love all the counterpoint and suspensions. I suppose Ill try to learn it by ear but it would certainly save some time if there is some sheet music out there!
Abide With Me - Phil Cunningham

Thanks,
Joe

I have a simple rendition of this song, with the counterbasses and bass runs. It's a simple version that I do a little bit more with. I'll send you a PM once I get it on a stick and onto this computer.

I can't be sure, but I am wondering (not for the first time) whether Phil uses a 3 row bass and 3row chord set-up on his bass side, which enables him to play this arrangement. I hope I am wrong ... but as far as I can make out he is using the third row; and I can't replicate what he is doing with the fundamental and counter-bass rows. Can anyone else throw more light on this?

It sounds to me like hes using a lot of 1st inversion chords, i.e. using counter basses, and at one point (30) he plays a G/A going to a A or A7 chord, nice.

This was taken from my hymn book. If anyone would like to translate the basses to accordion music that would be great & we can all have a go at it.

I have a copy of this song, in the key of F, written for the accordion, if anyone needs it. I think it came out of one of my Aretta's accordion lesson books, not sure which book number/level though. All the bass, chords and counterbasses are written out.

Send me a PM.

Hi Ganza,
This was copied from the book '50 More Old Favourites For The Piano Accordion' which I listed for (free) sale in my thread 'SHEET MUSIC' earlier this month.
There have been no takers for this one yet.
I have attached a scan of the front cover/index if it is of interest
Garth

I have sent you a private message to acquire this music-- if it is not too late!

Thank you.
