I haven't seen this posted elsewhere here so I thought I'd let the community know that the great NY accordionist and composer Guy Klucevsek passed away this week. I don't know any other details. Those who know his music know what an exceptional talent he was. And those of us who had the good fortune to have met him and have been able to work with him know how kind and generous a person he was, too.

A great loss, but he left us a wonderful body of musical recordings and compositions for accordion. If you don't know his work, you should definitely check him out.
Here's his website and he has tons of videos on Youtube too.

He was a wonderful man. What a loss. Between that and Rob Reich dying suddenly we've lost two great composers.
I have a lot of his sheet music from the Accordion Tribe, which he sent to me.

I heard about it on Facebook. His friend Joseph Natoli made a composition in his honour.

I have his DVD of Accordion Tribe, I have 2 other accordion DVDs where he appears. On his DVD he rounded up some very unique individuals to live an incredible adventure, in the process raised the accordion.

He was a scholar, gentleman and renowned accordionist, he will be missed.
